We are seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager to manage all activities related to connecting renewable energy projects—such as solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)—to the German electricity grid. You will be the main technical and regulatory point of contact between internal project teams, network operators (TSOs/DSOs), and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely grid connection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end grid connection process for renewable energy projects in Germany.

• Liaise with transmission and distribution network operators to secure grid connection agreements.

• Prepare, review, and submit grid connection applications in compliance with German regulations (e.g., VDE-AR-N standards).

• Conduct and coordinate grid studies, feasibility analyses, and capacity assessments.

• Negotiate technical and commercial terms with network operators.

• Ensure all grid connection requirements are met during project development and construction phases.

• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and legal teams to align technical designs with grid requirements.

• Monitor regulatory developments in Germany related to grid connection.

• Support the commissioning process and resolve technical issues related to the grid interface.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience managing grid connection processes in Germany.

• Knowledge of German grid codes, VDE standards, and relevant regulations.

• Experience liaising with TSOs/DSOs and managing technical negotiations.

• Proficiency in grid analysis software and interpreting technical drawings.

• Fluent in German (native/fluent) and good English proficiency.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach.
